I am Becky Lam and belam.work is a repository for my favorite projects. I’m a lighting & architectural designer, placemaker, and storyteller. Others also describe me as a(n)... found object purveyor, outdoor advocate, canine enthusiast, amateur anthropologist, aspiring polymath, and unsuspecting goof.

Trained as an architect, writer, researcher, and craftsperson, I’ve worked in a multitude of fields — from search engine marketing and visual merchandising to architecture and lighting design — and I love burrowing into the tiniest details to enliven the loftiest ideas.

My work is driven by an incessant curiosity of how everyday objects work, a yearning to hear stories about little known places, and an overall obsession for what makes people tick. Like, REALLY tick.
